Google Chrome Dev Version Adds "New New Tab Page," Windows Printing [Updates]

Posted by rbwatson1 on July 7, 2009

Windows/Mac/Linux: Those using the "dev version" of Google Chrome should receive an update today that adds printing under Windows (accessible with a right-click), better animated GIFs, and "save as" functionality for Macs testing out their alpha-level builds. The real notable change, though, is offered by adding -new-new-tab-page to Chrome’s launching shortcut. That’s when you’ll see a tab page that offers new "Recent Activities" and "Tips and Suggestions" areas, along with the ability to move and pin the eight auto-generated thumbnails.
